VirtualizationBeside the very specific solutions that we've pointed in the three previous solution description, we have also a strong expertize into design, implementation and follow-up of virtual infrastructures. Our mainstream expertize is in the field of Open Source solutions, but we are not bound to it in this field and we hav also expertize with commercial software. We have successfully deployed environnements based on solution like :
By extending our expertize to other solutions, we are able to propose a valuable approach, taking into account the pro's and con's of each solutions. As virtualization Open Source solution, we've chosen KVM, the multi-awarded solution that has aleady been choosed by a lot of companies as their virtualization solution. KVM has the advantage to run in a so-called paravirtualization mode. This means that the Operating System running in the virtual machine (the Guest) is aware that he's running in virtualization plateform and therefore almost runs with the same performances as it was on a physical machine. If the performance is a key factor for your application, this is the solution to use, better than the one offered by VmWare. The disadvantage of this method beeing that only altered Operating System (like Linux) can run in this kind of virtual machine. Of course, there is an alternative to run unmodified Operating Systems on KVM, this is full-virtualization mode, where the guest OS is not aware that is running into a virtual machine. In this mode, we can run guest Windows virtual machines on our KVM plateform. This mode is achieved by using the Virtualization Technology (VT) which is now present in each recent Intel or AMD CPU's.
Migration & integrationOf course, you already have your infrastructure in place. But you would like to improve and to change, without worry. Don't think that because you are running Windows servers you cannot use some Open Source products next to them. Here, at OneBit, we are expert in the field of integrating together what seems at first sight not integratable. By using solutions like Samba or OpenLDAP, we are able to build an infrastructure where any user, should he/she runs a Windows or Linux based PC won't see any difference in what he's able to do :
Or you may have decided to replace expensive commercial software by a equivalent cheaper Open Source solution. But you don't know by which end to begin, you don't even know which solution to choose. In this case, don't worry, our experts are there to help you from the begining to the end of the process :
With the combination of the power and the flexibility of management systems like PhpLdapAdmin and Webmin, you don't have to worry if you don't like the command tool to manage tons of systems. Thanks to the Open Source model, we can extend these management tools to completely suit all of your needs. You won't be required anymore to adapt our organization to your tools.
